A hymn of faith.
Based on a poem by the same name by Joe Cyr
Nothing shall be impossible
though breakers crash ahead;
if trust in Him stay unshakable,
we have little here to dread.
My faith shall be the power source
while in Church I abide;
it will preserve redeeming force
mid Perfect Babel and venal pride.
[spoken Bible quotation]
If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain,
(sing)
Move hence to yonder place; and it shall remove;
and nothing, nothing, shall be impossible unto you.
Lost love that pains, illness that drains,
as I to Church Triumphant move,
shall not be chains unless unless - faith wanes,
causing Cause Causeless to disapprove.
Word to cross over spoken,
hear, O Lord, this prayer from me:
I wish but to abide with Thee.
Musical interlude
Nothing shall be impossible
though breakers crash ahead;
if trust in Him stay unshakable,
we have little here to dread.
Nothing is impossible for God.
NOTES:
